What a difference to January of last year? Recovering from snow then, we seem just to be entering a period of frost, but with summer flowers still showing colour alongside early primroses, anemones and wallflowers (in my garden at least).
Our AGM in November was very successful. Powick Village Hall was packed with members and visitors for an excellent talk by Nick Hamilton on “Barnsdale after Geoff”. We all enjoyed mince pies and a very pleasant afternoon. A Christmas lunch, this year at Worcester Golf & Country Club on 3rd December was another happy occasion. A new venue for us, the Golf Club offered comfortable seating at round tables with views of the greens in bright sunlight. An excellent meal and Christmas cheer was greatly appreciated.
